Young recorder players up to the age of 15, and of all levels of playing, are welcome to join the members of i Flautisti in a world full of musical games, movement and playing surrounding the idea of seasons.
This workshop offers a comprehensive approach to musical learning that simultaneously develops movement and listening skills with an introduction to musical styles and concepts of recorder music. The children will have a positive ‘hands on’ experience in learning about different musical styles and composers and period traditions in this exploration of seasonal music.
The exuberance and enthusiasm of i Flautisti will inspire children with a love of music and to equip them with theory skills that will enable them to explore their own unique musical gifts with confidence!
This is an all day workshop with a lunchbreak from 12.30 – 1.30. Parents should collect their children for lunch and bring them back for the afternoon session.
Please note: children cannot be the responsibility of the Festival.
The day ends with a free concert, featuring i Flautisti and the children, from 3.30 – 4.30 pm.
Fee for the day £18 (£12 if parent qualifies for a concession)
