Get involved
The new Event Donors scheme and the “Bring I Fagiolini to Brighton” Circle enable audience members to become more closely involved with the festival and key events and artists.
Through both schemes you will receive unique opportunities to gain insights into the world of early music, attend rehearsals and interact with artists and the festival Artistic Directors. Getting involved in the festival in this kind of way can be extremely rewarding:
“You gain privileged access to the creative process, with the satisfaction of seeing works of art come to life that might not have existed without your help.
You have the thrill of contact... with artists of rare energy and imagination….. For a relatively small outlay…. you can have an impact.”
[article on major gift philanthropy in the arts by Andrew Clark, The Financial Times, 22nd February 2008]
Here at the Brighton Early Music Festival, your support is even more important than usual. Our success as a small and relatively new organisation has been astounding in a tough fundraising climate. Many funders, however, simply will not support concert performances. Also, no classical music promoter, however successful, can generate enough income from ticket sales alone to cover all the costs of a performance. For these reasons, your support is really vital. Without it, the festival simply cannot bring top quality artists to Brighton.
