About the day and timetable

On Sunday 19 February Brighton Early Music Festival are running a FREE whole day session exploring innovative ways to approach marketing and programming in order to reach new audiences. The day will be led by William Norris (OAE, Tafelmusik) and is open to both emerging and established artists across the early music sector and beyond.

DRAFT TIMETABLE 

  • 11.00 Welcome, introductions and overview of the day
  • 11.15 – 11.45 Introduction to Creative Marketing;
    followed by The Night Shift – a case study
  • 11.45 – 12.15 Using video, audio and new media to your advantage
  • 12.15 – 12.30 Collaborating with Promoters – putting together tools to help promoters, and using the power of social media
  • 12.30 – 13.30 Lunch break
  • 13.30 - 14.00 Focus on press
  • 14.00 – 14.30 What your Print says about you – the easiest mistakes to make, and how to avoid them
  • 14.30 – 15.00 Marketing Challenge – achieving results on a limited budget
  • 15.00 – 15.30 Multimedia touring projects – a case study
  • 15.30 – 16.00 Final Q & A Session
