How I started singing  
I've been singing for as long as I can remember. My parents encouraged me as a child, and I sang at infants' school (the occasional solo) and as a Treble in the Junior Church Choir.
Why I love it    

As Inspector Morse once said when someone asked him why he sang "It's just an excuse for more beer", so going to the pub after rehearsal is a major factor! Seriously, it's a wonderful feeling to be part of the performance of a piece of music you love.
