Liz Webb Sing the world
How I started singing
At school. We had a fantastic junior school teacher who got us all singing Carpenters songs in 2 parts when we were 8.
Why I love it

The music first - that special, intense communication with other singers - and the challenge - you can always be better. I've sung in Gaelic, Persian, church Slavonic and Swahili as well as all the main European languages, and performed in some really amazing places - the Basilica in Assisi, in the Royal Crescent in Bath with the Three Tenors, at an Iranian political rally in Earls Court (!), in tiny churches and huge cathedrals. Singing is a great way to travel and meet loads of interesting people.
