Tom Jeffers I want to sing like my dad!
How I started singing
My dad, a fine singer, took me to church to sing for the church organist when I was about 10. I then started to sing in choirs at church and at school and have been singing ever since. The church choir was mixed so there was an added attraction - one of the singers became my wife!
Why I love it

Everybody can sing! Singing in harmony or unison with a group of like-minded people can be a deeply moving and often cathartic experience. Many scholars think that "primitive" men and women may have sung before they developed speech, so when we sing we are perhaps engaging in an activity that stretches back to the beginning of human social life. I want to be part of that!
