Sunday 26 June, 6pm at Royal Spa

Eliza is the Fairest Queen

EVENT OVER. Popular songs from the reigns of our two queen Elizabeths - a Jubilee event with a difference!

Date & Time: Sunday 26 June, 6pm

Ticket price: £15; £7.50 12-25; under-12s free

Venue: Royal Spa

Popular songs from the time of good Queen Bess, alongside Tudor-tinted arrangements of some of the greatest hits from the 70-year reign of our current Queen Elizabeth, to include Vera Lynn, Aretha Franklin and the Beatles. Anecdotes about two of England’s most influential female monarchs make a humorous comparison with some early ‘kings behaving badly’. A Jubilee event with a difference!

“It’s no surprise from the name of our ensemble that we sing a lot of Elizabethan music… but never before have we combined this with pop music from the heyday of our current Queen! In Fair Oriana we love a quirky twist to a concert programme, and to combine old and new by commissioning new music where possible, so the idea of mixing both Elizabethan eras in celebration of the Platinum Jubilee really appealed! Thank you to BREMF for inviting us to take it on!” Fair Oriana

Please note that Royal Spa is an outdoor venue. Please bring your own seating (folding chairs or picnic blankets) and you are welcome to bring a picnic.
