Brighton Early Music Festival Booking Information

Please see our general terms and conditions for full information.

If you are unable to book online you may download a postal booking form.

Tickets go on general sale on Monday 3 August 2026 following the Friends priority booking period from Wednesday 22 July.

Half price concession tickets are available for most events for young people (aged 12-29 inclusive) and those in receipt of Universal Credit (or equivalent benefits) or Pension Credit (but not state pension alone).

Children under 12 are entitled to free child tickets when attending with a paying adult, for the same seating area as their accompanying adult.

If you need to be accompanied by a carer who would not otherwise attend, we can issue them with a free carer ticket. You can book this online, or phone 01273 833746 to arrange this. Carer tickets will only be valid where the carer is accompanying a paying ticket holder.

Bookings for more than 6 main festival events are eligible for a 10% season ticket discount when tickets booked within the same transaction. This will be added to your cart automatically.

£5 Prom tickets, admitting the holder to a standing or restricted view place (dependent on the venue) will be sold online from 1 October and on the door for most events. Contact 07958 790173 if you wish to check availability of tickets before arrival.

Pre-registration is essential for participatory workshops. Deadlines are given on the website but in all cases booking may be closed earlier if all places have been allocated.

We regret that tickets can only be refunded if the event is cancelled or in exceptional circumstances.

Seating
Seats are not numbered and are unreserved, either within price bands, or anywhere in the venue where tickets are all one price. Audience members choose their own seats on arrival on a first come, first served basis (see doors below). Seat reservations are offered for (a) BREMF Friends at Silver level or above for most concerts; (b) audience members requiring accessible seating/a wheelchair space. In both of these scenarios please contact jenny@bremf.org.uk to organise seat reservations.

Doors
We open the doors 45 minutes before an evening concert and 30 minutes before a daytime concert.

Drinks
We run a bar at all evening events and accept payments by cash or card. The bar is open before the concert and in the interval.

Programmes
The programme for each event will be emailed to all ticket holders, and available on the event pages of this website a few days before each event. You are invited to print this yourself if you wish. A summary programme with details of repertoire, performers, programme notes and relevant texts & translations (but not performer biographies) will be available at each event.

Filming and Photography
Some of our events will be professionally filmed for archive and promotional use, or documented by an official photographer. If you particularly wish to avoid a chance appearance on film in a general shot of the audience, please ask a steward for advice on where to sit. Please do not take your own photos or videos during performances except during audience applause.

COVID-19 Precautions
You are very welcome to wear a face covering during performances if you wish, and we will have spares on the ticket desk.

If you would prefer to have socially distanced seating, away from other audience members, please request this on arrival and the Front of House manager will do their best to arrange this for you. If this is essential for you to attend, please contact jenny@bremf.org.uk in advance of the event.

Hand sanitiser will be available for audience use at all venues if desired.

Please do not attend if you have any symptoms which you think might be COVID-19 and contact us for a refund in these circumstances.
