Performing at BREMF

Brighton Early Music Festival is dedicated to performance and participation at all levels of ability from established professional to complete beginner.

Performing opportunities

Professional involvement in the festival ranges from emerging talent on our BREMF Live scheme to world class international artists. The Festival also runs its own ensembles from a fully professional orchestra to a vibrant community choir.

We welcome applications from professional early music ensembles, which should be made via our concert proposal form.

Please read our guidelines before applying, and please note that we are likely to be fully programmed for the Festival by December of the previous year.

BREMF Choirs

BREMF Consort of Voices

BREMF Consort of Voices is an ensemble of solo and consort singers formed from semi-professional, student and experienced amateur singers.

The BREMF Community Choir is non-auditioned, meets weekly and is open to all. It offers a high degree of vocal and choral training and covers a wide repertoire of early music.

The BREMF Players

The BREMF Players is a fully professional period orchestra led by Alison Bury that can vary in size from a quartet of baroque strings to a full classical orchestra.
