BREMF is about much more than just concerts. Outside the Festival we run three choirs (see the BREMF ensembles section for more information), and our schools programme reaches over 1200 children each year in Brighton & Hove Schools.
BREMF has been working with partner secondary schools Cardinal Newman and Dorothy Stringer over a number of years, supporting and enriching their musical curriculum.
Projects have included several composition-focused initiatives which have offered KS3 students the chance to hear early music and respond to this very different sound-world with their own original ideas.
We also work regularly with partner special school Hill Park to support their KS3 curriculum and incorporate their pupils into our projects.
BREMF is part of SoundCity, the Brighton & Hove Music Hub.
