A workshop on French baroque style for early instrumentalists at A=440Hz.
Get into the mood for our French baroque festival opener with a workshop on stylistic ornaments, phrasing and dances. The morning session will explore ornamentation and the afternoon focuses on the baroque dance forms that became central to French culture and were emulated across Europe.
Instruments suitable for baroque music – no loud renaissance winds such as shawms or curtals please.
