Play an early or folk instrument? Come and celebrate the 400th birthday anniversary of composer John Playford, playing music from The English Dancing Master, with the option to stay on and play in the band for the following ceilidh. All music supplied but aural players also welcome.
Led by Emily Baines, a professional recorder player, lecturer and musical director working throughout Europe also specialising in a wide variety of historical woodwinds. Emily will be joined by Alexis Bennett who is active on the folk scene as a ceilidh caller and fiddler, as well as lecturing at Goldsmiths, University of London.
