An exploration of music from the Biffoli-Sostegni manuscript – the only surviving manuscript of polyphony from a 16th-century convent.

The programme weaves this stunning music together with stories from the convent’s history: from the 1530 Siege of Florence to the last letters from Suor Maria Celeste to her father Galileo Galilei.
